	Welcome to the Perky Penguins
	Our kindergarten class is known here at LAS as the Perky Penguins. This exceptional full day program is recognized by public schools in the area as one of the best. It consists of comprehensive programs that include a phonics based reading-language arts program. Reading, handwriting, spelling, auditory and language skills are incorporated through classroom lessons, as well as, hands on learning. Students do problem solving and mathematics reasoning, addition, subtraction, time and money. By mid-year, students begin to learn first grade math topics.
